4L60E 4L65E 4L70E 4L75E Drop-In Pressure Valve Transgo Number 4L60E-PR 1993-On.
1993 to 2015 General Motors vehicles equipped with the 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E automatic transmissions over time wear out the line pressure regulator (PR) valve bore. As a result, in cases where the wear is most prevalent at the balance end of the valve, the pressure will be unstable. Moreover, if the wear is severe enough, it can result in unregulated high line pressure. On the other hand, in those cases where the wear is most prevalent at the spring end of the valve, the leak in that area would cause low line pressure. For the same reason, the symptoms will vary as well, ranging from harsh shifts, soft shifts, burnt frictions, overheating, to converter clutch failure.
This drop-in precision USA-made steel valve is design to provide full-time line-to-lube, as well as restoring the hydraulic integrity of the circuit without the need to machine the bore. It also features longer spool lands allowing the valve to operate in non-worn portion of the bore. In addition, the longer lands distribute load over a greater surface area for increased durability.
- Machined for full-time line-to-lube
- Saves replacing pump for worn bore
- No special tools required
- Erratic or low line pressure
- Burnt 3-4 clutch
- Planet burn-up
- Overheating or burnt fluid
- TCC slip
- Precision USA-made steel oversized valve
- Spring seat
Note: The drop-in PR valve can be installed while the transmission is in the vehicle on 1993-2006 models only without the input speed sensor. 2007 and later models equipped with the input speed sensor require transmission removal.
