Sure~Cool® Thermal Bypass / Flow~Control for FORD various 6R 4R and 6F series units.
Superior’s patented and patent pending Sure~Cool® System Technologies allows you to quickly alleviate the silicon/paraffin wax type thermostatic brass pellet that commonly sticks in the cooler circuit and causes overheating, stopping cooler flow to the lube circuits.
Their STL line of Sure~Cool® Cooler~Flow™ kits allow full flow to the unit, and keeps ATF temps down during regular non-bypassing state.
When conditions require, use this active bypass state for a safety system to protect your unit from restricted/no cooler flow.
When flow drops or stops, the Sure~Cool® kicks in and dynamically balances the flow through the bypass lube system and internals to help alleviate a complete meltdown of the unit.

There are several external cooler block configurations from several manufacturers, BUT the universal fit design features of the new STL020 accommodate most all 2 line in and 2 line out style blocks. The STL020 supersedes the STL017 and since it works with in-line and offset blocks, NOW ONE KIT upgrades more blocks.
