Buick Nail Head Cast Aluminum Motor Oil Pan, One Quart Over Stock. 1957 to 1966 – 364, 401 and 425 Engines.
The PML oil pan for the Nailhead V8 engine features heavy duty sand cast aluminum construction. The thick walls add strength and a the gasket flange will not tweak or deform for secure seal. Aluminum construction and extra capacity assist with heat dissipation. PML added fins for a classic design.
This is a rear sump oil pan. PML designed this pan for 1957 to 1966 – 364, 401 and 425 engines. Look to make sure your car will accept a rear sump pan. The 264 and 322 engines cannot accommodate this pan. If you have a center sump oil pan, you will need to change the pick up. Please see Centerville Auto Repair for an oil pump kit that will allow center sumps to use a rear sump pan.
Mounting bolts and a magnetic drain plug are included. The drain plug magnet attracts any tiny bits of metal out of the fluid to help keep the vehicle running smoothly. The drain plug has a copper sealing washer
