4L80E / 4L85E Stator Support Bushings (Set of 4 Bushings), Sonnax 34016-W.
GM 4L80-E and 4L85-E units may display no converter lockup or codes 68, 39, 1870 or P0741. Imbalance of torque converter clutch apply oil through the front stator support bushing contributes to this complaint. A journal clearance of .002″ or more will generate sufficient leakage to cause lockup clutch slippage, causing the transmission to stay in third gear. Sonnax 4L80E / 4L85E Stator Support Bushings 34016-W are designed to reduce leakage by minimizing journal clearance and also increasing journal length.
