PPE Transmission Cooler Thermostatic Bypass Upgrade For 6.7L Cummins 68RFE 2013

Per PPE:

Add another measure of protection and increase fluid flow to the transmission cooler, increasing cooling capacity with the easy-to-install billet aluminum PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve for the Ram Cummins diesel.

The OEM part has restrictive internal passages. When the OEM valve fails in the open position, transmission fluid does not reach your cooler. This can be caused by mechanical failure or debris. The result of stock valve failure can cause the transmission to dangerously overheat. Without properly cooled transmission fluid, the demands of towing and rigorous stop-and-go driving conditions shorten the life of transmission components. The PPE Bypass Valve eliminates the extremely restrictive mechanical factory valve which maximizes fluid flow from the transmission cooler.

For further protection, a Neodymium magnet equipped service plug has been added. The removable plug traps ferrous debris and can be accessed to remove particles from the system. The factory bypass valve does not have this feature.

1. 87% increase in cooler flow due to the elimination of the orifice bottleneck located in the factory part.
2. No longer a thermal controlled bypass valve which can fail and cause lack of cooler flow and complete transmission destruction.
3. Instead of closing off cooler flow when the transmission is cold and making your transmission generate unneeded heat that is hard to shed later, our bypass allows your cooler to immediately begin cooling your transmission.
4. You cannot properly flush your cooler lines without the aid of a hot flush machine that can open the bypass valve. With our bypass upgrade, you can use room temperature fluid to clean out your cooler anytime without special tools.

This PPE 68RFE Transmission Cooler Thermostatic Bypass Upgrade is a direct bolt-in replacement. No lines are cut, nothing is altered. Simply disconnect your old lines and install them into our new bypass.

Note: This is located underneath the truck, on the passenger side, right near where the transmission housing and engine block meet.
