Sonnax heavy duty output shaft 22173D-HD is a direct replacement upgrade for 23-spline OE shafts in Chrysler 48RE and 47RE transmissions. These shafts are at risk for breakage at the output spline area, especially in high horsepower/torque vehicles (see comparison pic in gallery). Delivering a 25% increase in strength compared to OE and significantly stronger than other aftermarket, 23-spline shafts, the Sonnax shaft features improved material plus an optimized spline design to guard against failure.
