The Solution for Overdrive Clutch Failure — Proudly Made in USA!

Since its early production in 1999, the RFE platform has faced persistent issues—most notably premature clutch failure and valve body wear. These failures are often caused by hydraulic cross leaks and warped valve bodies, with 80–90% of leaks traced to the OE channel plate casting.

Stock castings show severe flexing and warpage. Limited contact surfaces and poor fastening design contribute to fourth gear clutch failure, worn valve body bores, and defective valve lands.

Many vehicles require a new valve body after just 60–70K miles. To solve this, we engineered a billet aluminum channel plate with shallow hydraulic circuits, machined from a solid 1” block. This design eliminates warpage and provides a rigid foundation for valve body mounting.

We also optimized hydraulic passages to reduce separator plate chafing and prevent valve body cracking under high line pressure—ideal for performance applications.

Our billet plate is compatible with stock hardware and allows users to choose between a bonded separator plate or a good used stock one. It supports both stock and performance tuning with elevated line pressure. With this upgrade, you may never need to replace your valve body again.

Durability Testing:

  • Stock plate warped to 0.168" and cracked at 300 lbs of pressure
  • Billet plate showed no movement at 1 ton
  • At 2 tons: 0.021" flex
  • At 5 tons: 0.047" flex
  • At 10 tons: 0.160" flex, recovered to 0.056"
