GM conversion Governor Pressure Solenoid Block Conversion Kit for Dodge/Chrysler Gas and Diesel Transmissions (1996–2007).
Replaces Mopar Factory P/N 4617210

This precision cast aluminum pressure manifold block completely replaces the original part. Dodge’s factory solenoid is known to be problematic and underpowered. This upgraded assembly removes the small stock solenoid and cast housing and replaces it with an oversized GM heavy-duty solenoid that delivers six times the force, allowing accurate control of the metering valve that generates governor pressure.
Governor pressure is responsible for upshifts, downshifts, and part-throttle shifts. Common symptoms of a failing factory solenoid include:
- No upshifts
- Late upshifts
- Sticking in gear
- Erratic shifting when cold
- Poor shift performance
- Check engine light indicating transmission issues
Installation is simple: Drop the pan, remove the filter, remove six bolts, and install the new aluminum solenoid block and HD solenoid.
