#86C, Allison Mega Transmission Cooler, 24″ x 12-3/4″ x 1-1/2″, Built with Large Tubes for Maximum Cooler Flow.
High flow rates up to 20 gallon per minute.
3/4 inch female fittings in cooler. Includes Cooler and Brackets only.

Installation instructions for the #86C Allison 1000 transmission cooler.
A 2007 back is a straight forward installation and similar to the 2008 up.
This installation is on a 2008 up 3/4 ton truck.

#1 remove the grill and disconnect the cooler lines. Then remove the factory cooler.
#2 cut the grill bracket on the right and left sides.
#3 heat bracket as shown.
#4 bend to the front one inch.
#5 heat the other side.
#6 bend the other side out.
#7 & #8 test fit the new cooler. The cooler goes off center to your right.
#9 install cooler brackets supplied.
#10 brackets and adapter fittings installed.
#11 place a small piece of filler metal between cut grill bracket then weld the right and left sides.
#12 welded grill bracket.
#13 install the cooler lines and make sure there are no bolts close to the air conditioning condenser.
#14 finished job, install the grill and check your transmission fluid.
We installed the cooler and a cast aluminum transmission pan on the same day. The owner reported back to us four days later with a 30 degree drop in operating temperature.
