700R4 4L60E High Energy 3-4 Power Pack with 8 Clutches and Kolene Steels 1982-Up. Includes 8 High Energy Clutches, 7 Kolene Steels (full thickness), 1 Backing Plate and 1 Snap Ring. High Energy friction clutch material is made up of a blend of Kevlar, ceramics, graphite, and carbon.
Thin steels in the 700R4 / 4L60E 3-4 clutch pack will not work on motors with over 400 horse power. Thin steels will warp from the heat and burn-up the Power Pack. Eight clutches are the maximum number you can use in the 3-4 clutch pack with full thickness steels. Eight clutches will hold more power than nine clutches.
