The pump slide pivot pin in GM 6L45/50/80/90 units is in a high-stress position and wears appreciably under normal conditions. The spring for the pivot pin also gets ground down and requires replacement, but pivot pins and springs are not available separately from the OEM. Sonnax pump slide pivot pin and spring kit 104553-03K is a direct replacement for worn or damaged pump slide pivot pin assemblies.

Symptoms:

Cause:
The pump slide pivot pin is in a high-stress position and is prone to wear that leads to leaks and fluctuating line pressure.
Correction:
