# SBK-C18. When servicing your 68RFE transmission it is often overlooked by builders replacing the thrust bearings. These bearings often have a life expectancy of 100,000 miles. However when transmission failure has produced contamination via water, clutch material, or metal debris it is an absolute must these be replaced. These thrust bearings are all new, not refurbished.
