Manual shift shafts in GM 4L80E 1991-1994 and all TH400 models can become corroded in harsh environments. Corroded manual shift shafts are not suitable for reuse, especially in remanufacturing.
The Sonnax direct replacement manual shift shaft kit, 38511-01K, has been yellow zinc plated to maximize corrosion resistance. Such as road salt and other environmental contaminates.
The flange face of the nuts is serrated for better holding capacity.
