4L80E / 4L85E TransGo Vacuum Modulator Kit, 1991-2013, 48-MOD. (Does NOT fit diesel.)
This TransGo 48-MOD kit fits 1991 to 2013 General Motors vehicles equipped with the 4L80E and 4L85E automatic transmission with gas engines only. High-performance applications often require an alternate source for line pressure regulation because the vehicle is equipped with a non-reprogrammable electronic control module. This kit makes a nice alternative for a more reliable and tunable pressure control system.
This TransGo internal modulator kit provides tunable line pressure regulation with a vacuum modulator instead of the vehicle PCM controlling the EPC solenoid. The kit includes everything needed to add the internal modulator system with the oil pan off the transmission. From the outside of the transmission you will need to connect it to an intake manifold vacuum source, however hardware is not provided for this. In addition, it comes with an oil pan based resistor to pacify the control module for the missing EPC solenoid in applications where the computer will still manage the gear changes.
