42RH / 44RH / 46RH / 47RH / A904 Primary Governor Valve, Sonnax 12802-01.
Fits ‘90-‘03 units only.
The OE aluminum governor valves in listed Chrysler RWD units become worn because the soft-coat anodizing wears off. The valve is not being optimally supported in the bore because the OE valve land is narrow. Sonnax primary governor valve 12802-01 has been improved over the OE version in both material and configuration for greater durability and performance.

Symptoms:
- Early upshifts
- Late upshifts
- 2nd Gear starts
Cause:
The primary governor valve wears or sticks, creating erratic governor oil pressure.
Correction:
The Sonnax drop-in, wear-resistant primary governor valve has longer lands and more support area.
