4L60E / 700R4 high performance / high volume billet pump rotor kit, 97-On. Turn your seven or ten vane pump into a thirteen vane pump. This kit will eliminate irregular pump pressure above 5,000 RPM. Transmission must be removed to install this kit. (When using a 13 vane pump don’t raise the motor speed above idle until the transmission is full of fluid, doing so may damage the pump rotor.

Exedy Number EFK227HP1 2001-On 4L65E / 4L70E Stage-1 High Performance / Heavy Duty Clutch Module. Seven 3-4 .065 of an Inch thick Waved Clutches. Rated at 500 rear wheel horsepower. Exedy has improved their already durable clutch with 3-4 friction plates for the 700R4/4L60E family by incorporating micro-waves in the design. This design has undergone 22 months of extensive durability testing and is now available from PATC. Micro-wave technology is used in current vehicles to help fuel mileage by considerably reducing parasitic drag in unapplied clutch packs. Using this methodology, micro-waves applied to the 3-4 clutch dramatically reducing heat generated in 1st and 2nd gear by keeping the plates cooled and separated prior to applying.

Over the years there have been various attempts to address this: from the changing the friction material and steel plate thicknesses, to the aftermarket trying extra thinner plates and single-sided plates but none of these addressed the root cause until now.
